Bebek Goreng Kartosuro

Bebek Goreng Kartosuro, located on Tanjung Duren street, at the opposite of Danamon Bank. Not a fancy place, it lays on an old house, the front yard is filled with tables and chairs. The kitchen is also at the front side. Once you step in the place, feels like you are eating in kampong.
There are some fans blows, so it definitely hot, but u can feel the wind from the fan.

It's a bit quite on lunch, as for dinner, you have to queue to get the seat. The specialty is duck, reflected by its name. But you can find chicken too. We had fried duck, costs IDR16K. Not cheap but it's worth.

And tempe mendoan costs IDR 3K. We also took nasi uduk...nyam..nyam... cost IDR 4K

Nice place for those who seek for food not the ambiance

Food : 5 from 5, value for money
Price : 4 from 5, no doubt
Service : 3 from 5, slow service
Ambiance : 3 from 5 can't explain for more
Interior : 1 from 5,c'mon, it's a traditional business...don't expect too much interior.

Kaprow Thai Cuisine

Kaprow, Thai cuisine located in the mall Pluit Village. I can't remember where it is exactly, but for sure it's in the kind of food court. The food court has two area, Singaporean and Peranakan, if I'm not mistaken. The ambiance is....food court typical. Crowded. It's designed minimalistic and futuristic. Since we came at 11am, we didn't meet a lot of hungry people there. Just some couples there with the children.

The food itself is so so, if you think I'm not devil enough to judge it bad. I actually expected for more since the price is a bit expensive for food court class. And the most important thing for me is portion....the portion is ideal for those who are in diet program.

We took Kaprow special rice. The bean was dry, mince beef was overcooked, I found it bitter. The sauce was sour...Price IDR 25K really not worth. Heyy...it's food court only, u should charge me not more than IDR 20K for this kind of thing

Another meal was Pad Thai. The safest menu when you are taking Thai food. The taste was not bad, but the portion was very small. I can't remember how much was it. Something IDR 35K.

Food : 2 from 5, small portion, tasteless
Price : 2 from 5, expensive for food court class
Service : 2 from 5, what do you expect? You serve your self
Ambiance : 4 from 5, not too noisy
Interior : 5 from 5, good enough for food court

Tangerang Heritage Trail

Dalam rangka menyambut cap go meh, Komunitas Historia Indonesia (KHI) ngadain acara Tangerang Heritage Trail tanggal 27 Feb 2010.

Puanasss banget jeung...amit2 deh....tp gw seneng bgt secara laki gw jg ikutan, biasanya doi paling males kalo disuruh ikutan yg berbau2 heritage hehehehe....

Puas dengan plesiran seputar klenteng, kita nyamper ke dam 10 di tepian sungai Cisadane, sambil ngintip2 dikit ke dalam rumah salah satu penduduk di Kampung Sewan. Asli, serem rumahnya, atapnya udah bolong2, tp pilarnya masih berdiri kokoh kayak pilarnya orang India.

Jam 3 lewat byk kita jalan ke stasiun KA Tangerang, mo balik lagi ke Jakarta nih ceritanya dg kereta yg jam 4. Ternyata keretanya baru ada jam5. Gw kira keretanya yg ngaret, ternyata emang panitianya yg ga tau kalo keretanya tiap 2 jam. Dodol...dodol...jadilah kita bengong2 di stasiun nunggu sampe jam 5.

Kereta datang 5 menit sebelum jam 5, setelah pasang posisi, gw langsung pules. Jam 6 udah nyampe Stasiun Jakarta kota lagi.

Spageddies

An Italian kitchen, located in one of Jakarta famous mall -Senayan City-. It provides some cubicles which accommodate 3-4 persons and some square common tables. Interior is mostly in green, white and red colours, kind of Italian flag. Tomato sauce cans, liquor and another retro style cans are placed as part of decoration so the customers are able to see those things.

Spageddies offers some big size meals. BIG in literally. We were damn full when leaving the resto. We have lasagna, spaghetti and chicken grilled as our main meals. Another dishes are soup of the day -salmon cream yummy soup, escargot and prima combo which contains soft shell crabs, calamari and mozzarella samosa.

Price is a bit high here, as we know, Italian food serves cheese and meat a lot. The parmesan is the real one, I mean not kind of squeeze cheddar like pizza hut has. A big plate of Lasagna costs u IDR 60K. And a half dozen escargot cost you also IDR 60K. You are entitled to refill a glass of ice tea with IDR 18K.

Service is quite good although one of us needed to call several times asking for refilled ice tea. In the end of our meal time, we saw Dewi Gita, her husband Arman Maulana and their daughter sat at the square table near the exit.

With Mega visa credit card, we obtained 20% discount. Total after discount is IDR 394K. Not bad. Here is the summary :

Food : 5 from 5, perfect parmesan
Price : 4 from 5
Service : 4 from 5
Ambiance : 3 from 5, a bit noisy
Interior : 5 from 5

SUSHI GROOVE

Sushi Groove has several outlets in Jakarta. It's designed with attractive greenish interior. Cool.
One thing I don't like from Sushi Groove is....I have to queue for long to get seated...oh my...it is always full of customers. My suggestion to avoid the queue line is, please come at 2pm till 5pm. You'll be seated right away you reach the entrance.

Despite to queue for long, I like the menu there.

Miso Soup, one of the must have item.
It is warm and the smell is very good. I like the seaweed, tofu..I like the gravy.
I can't remember the price, but it's still acceptable. Below IDR 10K something

Another item is Krakatau. I don't know if it's your must item, but I like it. It's not in my must list anyway. The price is IDR 20K something, don't remember exactly the number.

And this one is my favorite one, crispy and yummy. Salmon outside, avocado inside the roll. Price is also somekind IDR 20K

The last one we ordered was this kind of roll. I remember the price IDR 25K

Here is my summary
Food : 5 from 5
Price : 3 from 5 (I expect some discount or promo)
Service : 4 from 4
Ambiance : 3 from 5 (too noisy)
Interior : 4 from 5 (difficult to take pic there, it's dark)

Seribu Rasa

Located on Jalan Agus Salim, Jakarta, managed by the same group as Penang Bistro.
I was dying to know this place when everybody talked about Seribu Rasa. M
any positive comments comes out for this restaurant.

One sunny Sunday, we decided to have lunch at Seribu Rasa. It was half full, the waiters were passing by here and there. Very busy.

When the menu books were handed over to us, I suddenly felt like butterfly in my stomach. Shoot....very expensive. Oh no, I wanted to leave that place my husband pushed me to stay. We chose some items. I can't say the food is super. It was so so....Learning from the price list, our expectation was more that served. Oh, another thing, the waiters and waitresses were kind of slow movers, even when we asked for bill.

And the best part is.....there were two young men, standing in front of the toilets -male's and female's toilets- to guide us which one is for male or female. Hellooooo what for? The sign on the door is so clear. They could do another useful thing than standing like hell there.

Anyway, I like the interior...(finally there is something I like from this restaurant). Here is the summary :

Food : 3 from 5
Price : 2 from 5

Service : 1 from 5
Ambience : 3 from 5
Interior : 4 from 5

We spent IDR 356K there....
